Day 59 - more tarmac
Feilding —-> Palmerston North 22km
I was on the road, literally, by 7.30am, eager to get to Palmerston North where I’d booked a motel room for two nights. I could check in from 2pm and wanted to make the most of every second I could.
I walked on more road.
And more road.
And yet more road.
I’d listened to every podcast I had downloaded and was now listening to an audiobook; The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne (thank you Charlie for the incredible recco), which was a very welcome distraction from the monotony of the walking. I was now well and truely over the roads.
I was ordering lunch in a cafe in Palmie by 12pm and running myself a bath by 2.30pm.
